Donating Blood To schedule a time slot to donate blood, you can ask our volunteer teams that visit classrooms for an appointment or go to our sign-up table during lunch break on the days preceding the Blood Drive.
Volunteering (Key Club members only) The Chair of Blood Drives will post sign-ups on the Facebook page in the weeks leading up to the drive. There are opportunities to be on the promotion team that visits classrooms during the school day, to manage the sign-up tables at lunch, and to staff the blood drive, performing tasks such as receiving donors, distributing food, and allocating donors to the buses. The blood drive necessitates a maximum of three volunteers per period.
If you have any questions, contact our Blood Drive Chair, Lily Cuddy

Eligibility
In order to be eligible to donate blood, you must:
be in good health,
be 16 years of age or older (and have a signed Parental Consent Form if you are 16), and
weigh 110 pounds or greater.
In addition, it is recommended that you:
drink plenty of water and
eat a light meal before donating.
On donation day, make sure to bring an ID card (Student ID, driver license, or equivalent) and your appointment card!
You may still be turned away on the day of the blood drive for health-related reasons. A common reason for rejection is having a low iron level in your blood. In the days leading up to your donation, eating iron-rich foods can help ensure your donation proceeds successfully. For additional information on eligibility, visit oneblood.org/learn.
After donating, it is recommended that you drink water and avoid rigorous exercise.
